As an FAA approved, FSB compliant Mitsubishi training facility, Howell Enterprises nice facilities and experienced instructors make your learning experience a pleasant one.

Howell Enterprises, Inc. emphasizes hands-on instruction and the Ground and Flight Training program is tailored to satisfy insurance requirements as well.  With several well-known MU-2B maintenance facilities as well as avionics, engine, window, and interior shops in the immediate area, operators of the MU-2B have many services at their fingertips while undergoing training in Smyrna. Our staff can also travel to your location for training purposes.

Training Categories

 20 Hours Ground School and 12 Hours hands-On Flight Training*

Any pilot who has never received any formal training in the MU-2B from an FAA approved Mitsubishi training facility.

Any pilot who has fewer than 50 hours of documented flight time as PIC manipulating the controls of an MU2 in the preceding 24 months.

1. Must possess minimum of Private Pilot license w/MEL rating.
2. Must own/lease or have an MU-2B aircraft available for training purposes.
3. Must have an MU-2B AFM/POM containing the latest revisions.
4. Completion standards will be to Commercial Practical Test Standards

12 Hours Ground School and 8 Hours hands-On Flight Training*

You must have satisfactorily completed and have documented training from an FSB compliant, FAA approved training program on the MU-2B within the last 12 months (plus or minus 1 month of base month).

1. Must possess minimum of Private Pilot license w/MEL rating.
2. Must own/lease or have an MU-2B aircraft available for training purposes.
3. Must have an MU-2B AFM/POM containing the latest revisions.
4. Must have 3 documented takeoffs & landings in MU-2B in last 90 days (FAR 61.57).
5. Completion standards will be to Commercial Practical Test Standards.

Recurrent ---- $3000.00 (3 days)

Includes:

8 Hours Ground School and 4 Hours Hands-On Flight Training*

Requirements:

You must have satisfactorily completed and have documented training on either an FSB Compliant, FAA approved Initial or Requalification Training Program on the MU-2B within the preceeding 12 months (plus or minus 1 month of base month).

Qualifications:

1. Must possess minimum of Private Pilot license w/MEL rating.
2. Must own/lease or have an MU-2B aircraft available for training purposes.
3. Must have an MU-2B AFM/POM containing the latest revisions.
4. Must have 3 documented takeoffs & landings in MU-2B in last 90 days (FAR 61.57).
5. Completion standards will be to Commercial Practical Test Standards.

* Minimum program hours provided. Additional hours may be required to meet “proficiency” standards.

Notes: A Flight Review completed in any aircraft other than the MU-2B does not satisfy MU-2B requirements.
